Let’s face it, Facebook sucks
Well you sort of just knew it already before starting out…
Then you thought you would do it anyway…
Well everybody has it, it must be good right?
Wrong.
Facebook is social networking gone bad
I’d rather call it “meaningless chain social marketing” (…what a flattering term!).
Why does facebook suck so much?
well let’s say:
- it’s annoying: you receive and endless stream of stupid email warning you of embarassing things like: someone has just bought you a drink!…Yeah, my ass
- it sucks time out of your life
- facebook has an awful, confusing interface
- you don’t get to know much new people at all
- you don’t really accomplish anything on facebook, you just hang out
And this is just my personal list… others are floating around the web.
You don’t deserve another punishment! Chances are (if you’re like me) that you already have a myspace, a blog, a flickr and many many forum subscriptions. But it’s never too late… cancel now and join something lighter and more useful.
On a side note, guitar day 4 was a complete BLAST, one of the most wonderful days in my life for many reasons. I spoke a little with Mattias IA Eklundh in order to make me a recognizable face before getting to the swedish wooden wilderness this summer. I’ll keep you posted with some fresh photos soon.
