All the news are reporting that today Google is set to launch his new browser: CHROME !

Firefox and Internet Explorer are gonna face a big competition from this one…

From what I’ve read it’s been in the works for at least 1 year now, so let’s see if this is mature enough.

The Google browser core is based on the open source webkit

Everything’s ready, fingers are numb (already), guitar’s loaded and I even survived the FLU…

Looks like I’m ready to embark for THE journey. I’m attending 2nd international week at Freak Guitar Camp 2008.

For the next week I’ll be guitaristicaly enslaved by a bunch of angry swede musicians.

The latest album from Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal will be out on July 1st, and it’s a very good thing.

I think Bumblefoot is one of the most interesting guitar players of these years, he’s playing lead guitar for the Guns’n'Roses (be prepared, they will make a comeback in 2008, no doubt…Chinese Democracy is out soon) and he’s such a damn cool player.

Besides being a great guitarist, Bumblefoot is a gifted songwriter and wonderful human being. Actively interacting with fans and everybody at his forum. He even cared enough to stop by and send his little comment on my very own record…he’s such a great guy

I expect a lot from this record, and you can check out mp3 samples on Bumblefoot Myspace or bumblefoot.com.

He’s currently taking preorders on baldfreak, amazon and cdbaby.

C’mon Ron, when will you tour Italy as Bumblefoot? I think we deserve it

Well you sort of just knew it already before starting out…

Then you thought you would do it anyway…

but why?

Well everybody has it, it must be good right?

Wrong.

Facebook is social networking gone bad

I’d rather call it “meaningless chain social marketing” (…what a flattering term!).

Why does facebook suck so much?

well let’s say:

1. it’s annoying: you receive and endless stream of stupid email warning you of embarassing things like: someone has just bought you a drink!…Yeah, my ass
2. it sucks time out of your life
3. facebook has an awful, confusing interface
4. you don’t get to know much new people at all
5. you don’t really accomplish anything on facebook, you just hang out

And this is just my personal list… others are floating around the web.

You don’t deserve another punishment! Chances are (if you’re like me) that you already have a myspace, a blog, a flickr and many many forum subscriptions. But it’s never too late… cancel now and join something lighter and more useful.

On a side note, guitar day 4 was a complete BLAST, one of the most wonderful days in my life for many reasons. I spoke a little with Mattias IA Eklundh in order to make me a recognizable face before getting to the swedish wooden wilderness this summer. I’ll keep you posted with some fresh photos soon.

Well, I didn’t know about the previous ones, but it looks like it’s a sort of guitar oriented festival + exposition, meaning that you can check guitars, amps, and other gear, while you listen to your guitar heroes, and it looks like it’s gonna be free!

I’m not very fond of Marvel comic books movies but this one is well made…the story has been stretched a little bit (Wikipedia knows more…) as usual…but I found a lot of remarkable things in this film. Many pieces of technology as shown in Tony Stark house are truly amazing and made me wonder about fun-tastic things (windows superimposed holograms, witty electronic AIs and fancy programmable keyboards among the others), the suit itself is godly powerful and Downey Jr sure knows how to play such an arrogant young industrial dick. 4.5 stars out of 5, but worth a lot more if you consider the sadness of some recent hollywood productions…
